About

Danielle Verstegen

Watercolor Artist   |   Digital Artist   |   Polymer Clay Artist

The artist behind The Cheshire Kitten is Danielle Verstegen. She creates her artwork in her home studio in Tilburg, a town in the Netherlands.

She is the driving force behind The Cheshire Kitten. Most of her time is dedicated to commercial art, but from time to time she creates stunning one-of-a-kind sculptures.

Let imagination create reality!

That is the tag line that drives The Cheshire Kitten. Reality is not set in stone. As long as you can dream it, you can do it. And even nonsense can make great sense!

Lost in translation here? That’s totally okay! All we’re trying to say, is that through our art we are making the world and it’s reality a bit more beautiful, one step at the time.

In the section Meet the artist on our homepage, you’ll read more about our artist’s love for Lewis Caroll’s Alice in Wonderland and it’s mad characters!

Captivating

We try to create captivating sculptures and images, that make our audience wonder what’s underneath. We love to add some loose or whimsical elements, to keep everyone engaged.

Complex, yet Cohesive

Most of our pattern collections have at least a pretty complex hero pattern, but both the patterns and collections still remain a very cohesive look

Curiouser and Curiouser

Our kids’ designs are specifically for curious little minds, who have the imagination neccessary to create the most beautiful world. And of course, they have a good deal of cuteness too.
